Visiting Scholar

Hua Hsu is a staff writer at the New Yorker and an associate professor of English at Vassar College. He is the author of A Floating Chinaman: Fantasy and Failure Across the Pacific (Harvard University Press, 2015). He serves on the board of the Asian American Writers’ Workshop and is currently co-curating a show at the Museum of Chinese in America called “The Moon Represents My Heart: Music, Memory, and Belonging.”
