Join the Institute for Public Knowledge and the Past and Future of Work Working Group on Wednesday, March 19th at 5:30 PM for a book talk with Eric Blanc. He will discuss his new book We Are the Union: How Worker-to-Worker Organizing Is Revitalizing Labor and Winning Big with Antonio Rosario.
Eric Blanc is Assistant Professor of Labor Studies at Rutgers University, an organizer trainer in the Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee, author of Red State Revolt: The Teachers’ Strike Wave and Working-Class Politics, and director of the Worker to Worker Collaborative.
Antonio Rosario is a 30 year Teamster, he was an elected shop steward, and currently the Teamsters’ Lead Amazon Organizer for the New York region. He worked as a warehouse worker, truck driver, and clerk at UPS for decades, making him a 1997 UPS Strike Veteran. All this before being hired as an organizer. Tony was also elected as Co-Chair of the Teamsters for a Democratic Union International steering committee.
