Join the Institute for Public Knowledge and the AI in Society Working Group on Monday, October 19 (5:30-7:00 PM) for an event with Thomas Frank. He will discuss his book, The Creativity Con: How Innovation Became America’s Biggest Racket, with Liza Featherstone.

Thomas Frank is the bestselling author of What’s the Matter With Kansas?; Listen, Liberal; The People, No; and other books. Frank is a founding editor of The Baffler, a former columnist for The Wall Street Journal, and has written regularly for Harper’s, The Guardian, and Le Monde Diplomatique. He lives outside Washington, DC.

Liza Featherstone is a columnist for Jacobin, as well as for the New Republic’s “Apocalypse Soon” vertical. She’s also a contributing writer to The Nation, and has written for In These Times and many other publications. At NYU, she teaches in the Literary Reportage program at the Arthur Carter Journalism Institute.
