Building NYC-NYU Connections: Research Partnerships for Knowledge and Action
NYU’s Institute for Public Knowledge invites you to join us for an all-day summit on research partnerships between NYU and community organizations. Co-sponsored by NYU’s IHDSC, IES-PIRT program, and PRIISM, the event will highlight a series of NYC-based university-community partnerships that involve linkages between city agency or community organization partners and NYU graduate students and faculty around policy-/practice-driven projects designed to strengthen knowledge and action. The day will be structured in parallel morning and afternoon sessions. These will feature brief showcases of existing partnerships, jointly presented by key members of the partnership. Sessions will also include “breakout groups” where attendees will have the opportunity to engage in deeper conversations about how to conduct ethical and impactful work in the context of these partnerships. The topics of these conversations might range from trust building to technical needs of organizations and will be inspired by the showcases.
