Social Infrastructure is Essential Infrastructure: Community Report Back in Poughkeepsie

The Institute for Public Knowledge (IPK) and Gehl Studios recently released our report, Social Infrastructure is Essential Infrastructure: How Public Spaces Make the Affordable, Joyful City Possible. The study consisted of a survey of more than 1,100 people, more than 100 interviews, and numerous field visits to better understand how ordinary New Yorkers engaged with their public spaces. We invite you to attend a report-back on our findings in Poughkeepsie, at Scenic Hudson’s Northside Hub (auditorium), on Tuesday, June 23, at 6:00 PM. IPK’s Director, Eric Klinenberg, Associate Director Michael Koncewicz, and our partners from Gehl will answer your questions about our study.
