A.J. Bauer is an assistant professor in the Department of Journalism and Creative Media at the University of Alabama. He is co-editor of News on the Right: Studying Conservative News Cultures (Oxford 2019). His scholarly work has appeared in Media, Culture & Society, Radical History Review, the International Journal of Communication, American Journalism, and elsewhere. His political and cultural commentary has appeared in The Guardian, TV Guide, Politico Magazine and Bloomberg.
