Jeffrey Rubel is a fourth year PhD candidate in the History Department at NYU. Before matriculating to NYU, Jeffrey worked as a management consultant at Bain, a high school science teacher in Philadelphia, and as a chief of staff at the education company HMH. His research focuses on business history and the history of technology in modern America, and his doctoral dissertation investigates the history of the dating industry from the 1960s to the present. He also has a bachelor’s degree from Williams College (Geosciences) and a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge (History of Science).
