The Institute for Public Knowledge (IPK) and Gehl Studios recently released our report, Social Infrastructure is Essential Infrastructure: How Public Spaces Make the Affordable, Joyful City Possible. The study consisted of a survey of more than 1,100 people, more than 100 interviews, and numerous field visits to better understand how ordinary New Yorkers engaged with their public spaces. (more…)
